Microdermabrasion

For Smooth, Summer Skin

If you suffer from specific skin problems or acne skin, roughness or want to fend off those early signs of ageing, microdermabrasion could be the perfect treatment for you.

This treatment uses tiny exfoliating crystals or minute diamond-studded tips to buff away the dead surface layer of skin, helping to unclog pores and refine the complexion.

Regular microdermabrasion can also keep the early signs of ageing at bay by stimulating fibroblast cells that produce collagen, leaving skin firmer, smoother and glowing.

What is the Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a painless, non-invasive, non-surgical, skin-rejuvenation procedure using a combination of a fine abrasive tip or crystals and vacuum suction applied to the skin. This treatment removes dull, lifeless cells on the surface of the skin to reveal a newer and more radiant skin. Improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles marks, age spots, acne scars, stretch and hyperpigmentation. Also improves the appearance of enlarged pores and reduces acne breakouts.

No, if your treatment is uncomfortable in anyway, I will reduce the power.

Your skin will feel smoother and look fresher immediately after treatment.

Microdermabrasion can be done as frequently as weekly or up to every eight weeks depending on your skin’s tolerance and desired cosmetic effects. Many people choose to start with weekly treatments for three sessions, then change to a monthly maintenance regimen.

Much like brushing your teeth, microdermabrasion helps to gently remove skin debris. Since human skin typically regenerates at approximately 30-day intervals, skin improvement with microdermabrasion is temporary and needs to be repeated at average intervals of two to four weeks for continued improvement. Usually, multiple treatments (six to 12 sessions) are recommended to see a significant improvement.

Microdermabrasion may be very useful for people with active acne, mild acne discoloration, pick marks, and very superficial or raised acne scars.

Skin cells are continually dying and shedding and this will continue after treatment. Your exfoliation results will last several weeks until the dead layer has built up again but this will vary between individuals.

Some schools, sports clubs or other institutions have strict regulations on wearing jewellery. Earrings may generally be forbidden during sports activities or must be covered with tape or bandages. Please obtain information about these regulations in advance. To prevent the new holes from closing, the piercing earrings should not be removed during the healing period. If this is not possible because of any regulations, we recommend planning your ear piercing for the vacation period.

During the healing period (6 weeks for earlobes, 12 weeks for ear cartilage) it’s best to avoid swimming. After all, each new ear piercing is a small wound, which should be kept as clean as possible. Public swimming pools are often contaminated with germs, especially bacteria. And pools that use chlorine may cause problems, since chlorine and its by-products can dry out and irritate your skin. Even lakes or oceans may be contaminated with germs. Therefore, if you decide to go swimming anyway and your ear gets in contact with water, we recommend that you follow your swim with using a care product. You may also use a waterproof bandage, which you should remove after swimming.
