PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE

Step by step

SPMU Eyebrows

1. Consultation and Patch Test
Before any procedure can be done, it’s important to have a consultation with me for free so that we can discuss what’s involved, the style and shape you’re looking to achieve.
1
2. Analysis
I’ll perform a full skin tone analysis to determine what pigments to use to achieve your desired brows, taking your hair colour into consideration. Please check the Phibrows page for more information.
2
3. Preparation
I’ll use a guide colour pencil to draw on the shape of your new brows, using callipers to perfect your measurements. You’ll be able to confirm that the shape and style is correct before I proceed. A topical anaesthetic is then applied to the brow area, to minimise any discomfort.
3
4. The Procedure
The procedure takes about 90-120 minutes. You may feel a little scratchy sensation, but this will be short lived as the anaesthetic starts to do its job. I will then check your brows for any final adjustments.
4
5. Top Up
You will need to have a top up appointment to check the shape and colour of the healed brows and take care of any adjustments. This takes place only when the skin has healed: usually 4-8 weeks from the initial procedure. Enjoy your brows!
5
6. Maintenance
Semi-Permanent makeup does fade over time and exposure to sun and skin tone are contributing factors as to when you’ll require a colour boost. I would recommend booking a consultation with me 12-18 months from your completed procedure.

Uses a digital Phibrows machine and sterile ultra-fine needles. The digital machine technique means that are far wider customer base can enjoy perfect brows. SPMU generally lasts from 10-24 months. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 12-18 months.

Hair Stroke Brows

£170

Brows (machine)

The treatment consists of accurate and precise distribution of hairs that, after enucleation, perfectly match natural eyebrows. This is an ideal treatment for people who have experienced hair loss and don’t want a really obvious ‘made up’ brow.

Powdered Brows

£170

Brows (machine)

This technique will give you a more defined, solid look. The powder fill method involves the application of thousands of tiny little dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building up a colour and a defined shape.

Combination Brows

£180

Brows (machine)

This is the ultimate brow treatment. Eyebrows made with hair stroke and shading technique. The treatment consists in the accurate and precise distribution of hairs along with the shaded space between them. This technique allows you to obtain the effect of fluffy, thick, but still light eyebrows.  If you want the ultimate and most popular brow style, then the ‘Combination Brow’ will suit you.

SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP

EYELINER

With permanent eyeliner, you can look your best from the moment you open your eyes. An inconspicuous, natural enhancement on your top and bottom lids will make your eyes pop and sparkle, or if you prefer a more made-up look, a thicker application can wave goodbye to wobbly lines for good.

SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP

LIP

Permanent lip treatment reduces the appearance of fine lines around the lips that lipstick often bleeds into. Restore fullness, youthfulness and beauty to the lips. The majority of clients that request this procedure want natural results with soft tones – something that I provide and recommend.

Lip line

– natural or defined. Guaranteed to perfect the shape of the mouth.

Lip line and blush

– offering the client fullness, symmetry and beautiful soft colour. Lip blush defines the outline of the mouth with soft shading which gets lighter towards the centre of the lip.

Full lip tint

– giving the lips a perfect finish. Shading and highlighting enhance a thin flat lip, define the shape, provide symmetry and create an overall natural lip colour. This treatment is favoured as it gives the most natural results and complements the whole look.

POST-TREATMENT ADVICE

For Eyebrows, Eyeliner, Lips

Your semi-permanent makeup procedure was performed using a sterile single-use needle and high-quality pigments. The end result of your procedure depends greatly on following this aftercare protocol. You will be given an aftercare ointment and an aftercare leaflet with guidance on how to care for your brows during the initial healing period. The following must be avoided for 10-12 days post-SPMU procedure:

  • Allowing any water to touch the brows! No shower stream over brows. Wash face CAREFULLY with a washcloth or cleansing wipes, avoid brow/eyeliner/lip area.
  • Sweating
  • Exercising
  • Practicing sports
  • Swimming
  • Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi
  • Sun tanning or salon tanning
  • Spicy foods
  • Smoking
  • Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on the face or neck
  • Picking, peeling, or scratching of the brow area. You will cause scarring of the area or removal of the pigment if you pick or peel scabs prematurely.
  • Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris – now is not the time!
  • Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
  • Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
  • Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care with a cotton swab
  • Do not use any cleansers or facial products of any kind, over the brow area for at least 10 days

Please NOTE: Itching and flaking may appear during the first ten days post-SPMU procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.

Pigment will look very dark and sharp right after the procedure. Colour will fade and soften 50%-75% in about 2 weeks.

Touch-ups and/or correction of the shape-design is recommended only after 6-8 weeks.

Pro-Tip: Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the colour pigment to fade quickly.
